HOLYOKE MASSACHUSETTS

DAVID DAUPHINAIS AND EMMA ST AMANT

David Dauphinais was born in Canada in 1860 and married Emma St Amant from which produced 8 of Mr. & Mrs. Paul Dauphinais and Mr. & Mrs. St Amant's grandchildren.   

During the 1917/1918 Draft, David's boys enlisted with the U.S. Military Service and from these documents we retrieved their signatures seen below.

David Dauphinais Jr. was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on May 18, 1884.  At the age of 34 David Jr. stood 5 feet 6 inches tall, was brown eyed and had brown hair.  He had a small build but a strong back.  He worked for the Holyoke Chemical Paper Co. It is difficult to read but it appears as if, in the document reference below, he was working on Canal Street in Holyoke, Mass doing some type of "Back ?" work for this company.   During this same year David registered for the U.S. Military Draft on September 12, 1918.  David's mother Emma Dauphinais was listed as his nearest relative and both were living at 522 Summer Street.  David Jr. married (  ) and from this union produced (#) of children.  (add draft card)

Silus Dauphinais was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on Nov 23, 1887.  On June 5, 1917, at the age of 29,  Silus Dauphinais registered for the United States Military Draft. He was of a medium build, with brown eyes and black hair. He was single, living at 522 Summer Street in Holyoke, Massachusetts; and was working for the American Pad and Paper Co as a laborer.  Silus Dauphinais married (  ) and from this union produced (#) of children.  (add draft card)

Anatole Dauphinais was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on Sept 3, 1889.  On June 5, 1917, Anatole Dauphinais was 27 years old.  He and his brother Silus registered for the United States 1917/1918 Military Draft together. Anatole, was of a medium build, with brown eyes and brown hair.  He too was still single and living at 522 Summer Street in Holyoke and was employed with "Farr Alp---- Company" as a laborer.  Anatole married (  ) and from this union produced (#) of children.  (add draft card)

Blanche Dauphinais b. Apr 23, 1891 married George Ladeau from which # of children born.

Arthur Dauphinais was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on Nov 26, 1893 and at the age of 23 he was working as a laborer for Louis Tergeon (Mover) in Holyoke Just prior to his 24th birthday, Arthur registered for the United States Military Draft on June 5, 1917.  It was noted in this record his left leg was shorter than the right leg. He had brown eyes and dark brown hair. Arthur Dauphinais married (  ) and from this union produced (#) of children. (add draft card)

Clara Dauphinais b. March 5, 1898 married

Emma Dauphinais b. June 3, 1900 married
