This site was purchased December 18th, 2003 and will be a resource for many families who are interested in their family history as it relates to the Kildare County Ireland Losty Family Lines. There are many names listed here that are not yet linked to additional information. This is simply a time issue. If their name appears on our site then we will eventually create page links for them as well. We encourage all of the families connected to our families to contact us so we can include your photos, history and eventful days as we build the site.
The Losty Families from Ireland to America
The Losty family line originated in Kildare County, Ireland. Kildare County is located in Leinster, part of the Great Central Plain, a region of rolling farmland on a limestone base, dominated by the 22 square miles of the Curragh Plain. The Losty families who immigrated to America landed in the New England Area most now residing in Massachuettes and New York. Others traveled to Canada and then eventually came to America. Over the years Losty Family Decendants have spread out across the country and today we are reconnecting our families through this website.
